"He almost did it!  He came as close as anyone could have done.  "Free Drop" Jim Hern came so close to doing the hat trick it wasn't funny.  Last week Jim told the Three Sisters Golfers that he was going to win three weeks in a row.  It had never been done before so a few bets were made.  Jim was sitting at Caddy Shack Two (gathering place for the golfers after golf) savoring  his 41 points thinking he had won.  Normally it would have, as a matter of fact, no one had gotten over 40 points in the last few months.

    Jim was unlucky as Herb Ishinaga had the best round that he has shot in a few years.  Herb was sinking putts from all over the place and kept his drives fairly straight. Although he messed up the 16th with a double bogey, he parred the 17th and 18th to win the day with 42 points. Herb shot 86 off the stick which was his normal game 15 years ago.  He is hoping that his game is back.

  

Coming in with another good score was Dale Murphy.  Dale shot 38 points to come in third to round out the top scores for the day."
