Two flights today there being twenty two in total of us fooling about with their golf at this ever popular venue which we are sure to play more frequently now that sports day charges have returned. The road, oh the road …… but hopefully nearly made up now.
Lower handicaps division (0 – 21)
1st Peter Davies (14) 39 points.
2nd David Gardner (8) 35 points (18 back nine).
3rd Dennis Jaycock (20) 35 points (17 back nine).
4th Barry Quirck (12) 33 points.
Higher handicaps division (22 and up)
1st Ulrich ‘Willie’ Nachbur (25) 42 points.
2nd Jim Fortune (29) 36 points.
3rd Peter Mills (24) 34 points (18 back nine).
4th David Johnson (23) 34 points (14 back nine)
Near pins in course order Dennis Jaycock, Owen Walkley, Martin Hayes and Yves Philibert. Peter Davies sunk the longest first putt on the 18th green. The average points scored on the day was 29.6.

Plutaluang Navy North & West – Thursday 3rd April - White Tees – Stableford

Off we went for our fortnightly visit to Navy and the Management Committee decided that one division for the sixteen competitors was quite enough.
1st Bruce Lawrence (12) 40 points.
2nd Owen Walkley (23) 36 points.
3rd Colin Cronin (17) 33 points.
4th Paul Smylie (26) 33 points.
5th Frank Waterhouse (15) 32 points.
Near pins in course order were claimed by Bruce Lawrence, David Gardner, Bob Drumm and Owen Walkley who also snaffled the longest first putt on the 18th green. At the start of the day with Willie Nachbur’s score on Tuesday in mind Ian Campbell proposed that any earlier winner of the Paradise Bar shirt for the most golf who subsequently went on to score 42 points with a blob on the last hole should jolly well give the shirt back! In reply Willie crashed and burned on Thursday reversing the numbers of his score on Tuesday so that his 24 points won him another shirt. Ha ha! The average score for the day was 30.6 points.
