MOUNTAIN SHADOW

Mountain Shadow is a heavenly place situated near the wooded hills behind Crystal Bay. This 18 hole course, designed by Ronald Fream, is one of the best. Built on a mango plantation the course appears to have just emerged from the natural terrain, enhanced by Bougainvillea, many fragrant flowering trees and oil palms.
The par 3 17th hole is an outstanding feature, built across an abandoned stone quarry turned into a lake and fringed with colorful flora leading to a waterfall. The hole offers a choice of ten different teeing positions. From any tee you just might think you were at Augusta.
