Every year the Pattaya Sports Club organizes the PSC Golf Charity
Classic, traditionally the primary charity fundraiser of the year. The PSC Charity Classic is as much fun for golfers as it is beneficial for the local
community with all funds raised from the tournament allocated to the needy. .
This is the 12th year of the Charity Classic and all the proceeds are used to support charities which benefit the local communities. The amount raised each year has been between Baht 350,000 and Baht 700,000, and the money given to all our various charities over the last 3 years has been in excess of 7 million Baht A great achievement for the club with many
different charities benfiting.
The PSC regularly support those in need and those less fortunate than
ourselves and we are proud to be able to help our local community.
The sums raised have been due to the hard work of many people involved in the event and the wonderful generosity of the many sponsors.
Some of the main beneficiaries of the past few years have been:
The Redemptionist Street Kids Home for Boys and Girls
PSC response to Tsunami where club members were on the ground
immediately giving much needed support DIRECT to the survivors.
The Chonburi Shelter new building.
Provision of scholarships for unde-priviledged school children.

Funds for this years CHARITY CLASSIC will be used to provide
support for Local Schools. Pattaya has grown quickly over the past few years and that growth has meant a large influx of families from other
areas to supply services, most of these to children.
This has put enormous pressure on the local school system, and all schools in our area in particular those controlled by City Hall local
Amphurs and Wats have had problems.
These problems relate to overcrowding and lack of facilities, such as
inadequate toilets, lack of classrooms, poor water filtration, and
sub standard canteens. Pattaya Sports Club has always had an interest
in local education and has supported hundreds of children with
Scholarships and supplied schools with various sports equipment.
However in recent times we have had numerous requests for help in
supplying other essential facilities that their meager budgets cannot
accommodate. Pattaya Sports Club has always responded to challenge and we are doing our bit to alleviate these problems. Over the past two years we have raised our support of Scholarships from Bt200,000 to
Bt 800,000
and in addition we have completed many other projects at different schools to those mentioned. . To continue these valuable community
projects we ask you to support our only annual fundraising event and
Pattaya’s premier Charity Golf Tournament.

Donations are generally of two distinct types: (1) Complimentary goods and services, and (2) Cash. Many of the goods and services are used as prizes for the tournament contestants to encourage participation and to further
enhance the reputation of the event as a “fun day”. If you are

Circumstances permitting, the PSC undertakes the actual purchase and delivery of the charitable items for each and every project undertaken. This ensures that the underprivileged children receive the requested assistance promptly.
Throughout the year 2008/9, the Pattaya Sports Club will also be aiming to donate funds to charitable organizations that have proven to be of great help to the poor, the sick, the handicapped and the
underprivileged in the Eastern Seaboard area. These organizations work directly with those who live in poverty stricken areas to help individuals get clothes, food, medication, and education for the children. These are smaller and very worthy charitable organizations that have somehow fallen through the cracks and are therefore in need of financial assistance.
The Pattaya Sports Club is a transparent, government registered
association with the objective to promote local sports activities and support needy charitable causes. All donations are accounted for and go directly to where they are most needed. We hope you can help s to reach our

• Company name and logo on the golf shirts provided to all the players. The commitment must be made prior to December 30th as we have to start manufacturing the shirts at that time.

• Attendance the photo-op presentation when the project is either turned over to the charity or school for use or presented to them. For Major sponsors there will be a plaque placed at the charity/school identifying the donor. The photo-op is done with the Pattaya Mail.
