Monday 11th February saw the Bunker Boys travel to Greenwood for a Medal competition where we had good scores in both the A Flight and the B Flight.

Rod Stevens continued his winning ways by taking first prize in the B Flight with a three under par nett 69, Harry Lankoff took second place with a one over par nett 73 beating “Skinny” Newton in to third place on a count back.

Jim Treen won the A Flight with the same score nett 69 ahead of William Macey level par nett 72 and third placed Mashi Kaneta nett 73.

Near pin prizes went to Raleigh Gosney, Tony Scambler, Bernie Stevens and William Macey.

Playing Stableford at Khaow Kheow on the Wednesday 13th we had a whole host of new names taking the prizes, in the B Flight Bryan Rought took first place with 34 points, second place went to Colin Stokes 32 points and 31 points was enough for Laurence Harding to get third place.

Alan Sullivan found himself in the A Flight as the cut was handicap 17 and under and Alan won with 38 points, one point ahead of Cyril Wallwork who took second place and Unto Kilvonen was third with 34 points.

Unto took one of the near pin prizes too along with Alan Freeman, Mashi Kaneta and William Macey.

Pattaya Country Club

With a lot of the golfers playing in the PSC monthly tournament we had a single flight on Friday 15th and Cyril Wallwork took the honours with the best round of the day a three under par nett 69, Alan Freeman playing off scratch came second with a fine level par 72 and Tony Scambler was third with nett 75.

Cyril Wallwork capped a great day by winning two near pin prizes and the other two went to Tony Scambler and Mashi Kaneta.
