Plutaluang ( Stableford) The turnout on this day was a little thin due to the 'Club Championship' finishing the day before and many of the golfers, no longer young, were stressed out from this major effort. Mind the tough one's battled on. So off we went to Plutaluang, with the hope that we would play South And East, and luckily we did. A major effort has been put into this 18 holes of late and it now looks quite presentable, it must be, after all I booked it without too much arm twisting. We had a nice breeze on the day, and the Course was as it normally is, so on with the game, and of course all found it quite tough. I say all but a couple of players did perform really well, and we had a gross 69 from one player, of course he won. The restaurant here is one of the Courses strong points, the food is quite good and plentiful, the beer is cold, the ice cream excellent and most important the price is more rhan excellent. You also get a magnificent view of the Course from the windows. Back at Bert's we had a look at the scores, and the winner with 41 points off a 2 handicap was Ernie Hill. Not often we get a sub 70 Gross score. In second was Perry McNeely with a fine 39 points ahead of John Gee in third with 34 points and the Emcee Derek Brook in fourth with 33 points on countback over Stan Dare and Pat Morrison. T.T.F.N.
