P.S.C. Fishing From Tropical Bert's
Saturday The 2nd June 2007
|
The weather has been a bit variable of late out at Sea, and at this time of the year, for various resons, it is not the best time for filling up the boat with big fish, but there has been a lot of the smaller variety of late, and this has been to the plus side as the 'Ladies' love them. Much tastier than the bigger fish, or so I am told. But I do like a 'Big Un' and that is the lure of the sport. The Ladies just like any that fit in the pan.
On this day we, myself and 'The Single Handicap Fisherman, alias Chris, were joined by John, his Wife and their two Children, Oh! and also his brother Wally to help drink the beer
Of course the family slept most of the day, despite the Sea being calm, but John's wife did spend a lot of time with a rod in the water when the 'Small One's' were biting, and we caught a lot of small ones of various types, quite a few Kilo's of them. We did catch a couple of biggish 'Sweetlips' over a Kilo, and quite a few half Kilo 'Big Eyes'.
Mind this takes the thoughts away from a good fight, and we had a couple almost as soon as we anchored and put the big lines out. Quickly one line screamed out and the fight was on, at the same time one of the medium lines being fished by John also started to zoom out. Despite the too lines crossing as the fish raced around, John got his fish in as did Wally on the other line. I only mention this because after this the water started to speed up and the rest of the day was devoted to the filling of the pans with smaller fish. And Why Not!!. T.T.F.N.
