Most real fishermen who go out fishing, really do not go out to catch fish. Now the Fairy Story is out of the way, Saturday was a really great day out on the water. Early in the morning the Sea as we left port was as calm as a millpond, with just a hint of breeze, and by the time we got to the fishing ground the breeze had risen a little and the day was as perfect as it gets. Early fishing with the small lines saw plenty of fish up to about 3lb, ideal pan size, and as the tide sped up and we decided to sit in the deck chairs and rest our eyes this meant we had a few fine meals stowed away. The boats were lined up across the Sea, so we knew we were in the correct place, and as the morning ran on, we were into our first Cobia, Chris was in his element. For some reason the fish ran straight to the boat and meant much frantic work on the reel, but finally it was onboard, and the day would be a success. You always like one 'Big Fish'. Morning changed to afternoon, and the wind rose slightly, then the line screamed out again, and another fine Cobia was on the line. This one put up a long fight, however Wally finally got it onboard and he could smile. The wind steadily rose through the afternoon, and as dusk settled we silently slipped back into Port at the end of a great day. TTFN.
