P.S.C. Fishing From Tropical Bert's
Saturday The 8th December 2007
|
What more can one say, the Sea on this day was absolutely superb as we motored out to the fishing area, as was the weather. You never seem to be able to tie in the Sea with the wind that is always around, yes it was a bit wind blown, but the rock of the boat was just ideal for the revelers of the night before to inspect the inside of their eyes while building up the strength for a hectic days fishing. Who snores?, not me!!
Trouble with this time of the year is that it is historically not a good time for big fish. I suppose they like hot weather for some reason, and as soon as the weather cools down they go on their holidays out to the deep. Mind there are a few around although the Cobia we chase seem to be a little conspicuous by their absence in numbers.
The day now is one of a few hours chasing the big ones and then a few hours chasing the smaller fish to keep the loved ones happy, or the maids or the staff or girlfriend or anyone who likes fish.
On this day we had the normal few big fish and then proceeded to fill up bags with literally dozens of smaller fish, they literally jumped into the boat. The Sea around was alive with small fish jumping as something chased them out of the water.
One of the things that is not talked about by fishermen is just being there with a line in the water, for a real angler it does not get any better than that, a day out on the water. Happy days. T.T.F.N.
