Bringing relief to local poor
Pattaya Sports Club recently agreed to assist the Relief Ministries Foundation managed by Pastor Sanay Srisa-ard of the Pattaya Full Gospel Church. This group of dedicated people supply much needed assistance to our disadvantaged locals. They provide a Childcare service named Agape Children’s Home where upwards of 20 poor or orphaned children are cared for by volunteers some of whom come from overseas to help out on their holidays. The children all of whom are under school age are given clean clothing nourishing food and taught basic hygiene. All of the needs of these children are funded by community donations which are not always adequate.
PSC Charity recently decided to assist this group by granting B10,000 per month . These funds are used to supply milk for the children on a daily basis. The grant more than covers this expense but the balance provides added assistance to the poorer families in Pattaya. Pattaya has quite a few slum communities where the Relief Ministries visit regularly. These visits are invaluable to the people’s welfare as it provides an opportunity to check on their health and well being and assist in getting them assistance from local authorities. Quite often these visits provide the opportunity to distribute food parcels and basic hygiene supplements [soap, toothpaste, talc etc.].The Sports Clubs additional funds augment this aid. The people concerned many of whom are aged and feeble with a variety of serious ailments rely heavily on this help for their very survival. It is not the prerogative of Pattaya Sports Club to solicit donations for any cause, but should any of our members feel that they would like to help they could contact Pastor Sanay on 09 747 2314.
