PATTAYA SPORTS CLUB HELPS OUT AT BAAN JING JAI  

Baan Jing Jai is a small Care Centre located on Soi Neun Plub Wan [opp the Kam Lor Steakhouse and close to the small Community Clinic on the left] that houses 60 children ranging in age from 4-15 years of age .These children are either orphaned abandoned or come from broken homes. At Jing Jai they are cared for by Khun Piangta and a small staff who take care of their every need. All the children attend either school or kindergarten and their future is assured while in the care of this group. That future however was recently put at risk when the overseas funding had run its course. PSC acted quickly when made aware of the crisis. At its executive committee meeting last week they agreed to help out. This help came in the form of an agreement to pay the rent on the Jing Jai premises for the next six months, B 102,000 was made available for this purpose.

Charity Chairman Bernie Tuppin had the pleasure of taking the news to Khun Piangta who while overjoyed at the offer explained that until Govt funding is in place they will have to rely on public help. Several fund raising functions have already been held and more are planned to aid this orphanage so if you are able to help in any way please contact one of our local charity groups or ring Khun Piangta on 038-730125 Mob 04 6144389 . Update. Since this time PSC has paid the rent on the premises for a further 6 months but more importantly many other groups have volunteered assistance. Of these the most significant has been the generous assistance of THE JESTERS who have been responsible for a B500 ,000 upgrade of the premises and gaining an assurance that the rent will be locked in for a further 4years. Many others continue to assist but the need is ongoing.
