200 Bowlers - Mai, Jon, Morn, Antero, Dang, Bill, Konrad & Tue

Brother D takes first place, Café Kronborg second, Mai's Thai Restaurant third and Sisters captures fourth

Brother D kept their nerve taking three points from Mai's Thai Restaurant to capture the first place trophy after 30 weeks of bowling. Café Kronborg came in second as they won all four points from Montana . Mai's Thai Restaurant dropped from second to third and they will collect the third place trophy. Three Sisters won all four points in their match against Diamond Shop and passed Montana to win the fourth place trophy. In the other matches Beaver Bar & Grill took all four points from VFW Post 9876. Café Ole won three points from Jack & Tar. Antero bowling as a Pacer had the best series of the day with games of 178, 201 and 200 for a 579 pin total. Bill Key rolled a 207 game, 555 series, Morn had games of 211, 191 and 172 for a 574. This league was a bit unusual with only the top four teams ending up with more winning points than lost points. Any PSC members out there who want to bowl in the upcoming league come down to Pattaya + Bowl across from Big C on Second Road at 13:30 on Friday and put your name in the hat to join a team.

Brother D moves into first place with one week remaining

Konrad bowled a 543 series and Ooy added a 526 to lead Brother D back into first place as they took all four points from Beaver Bar & Grill.  Café Kronborg knocked Mai’s Thai Restaurant out of first as they took three points in that match.  First, second and third place trophies will be determined next week with Brother D, Mai’s Thai Restaurant and Café Kronborg fighting it out.  Montana is to far behind third to advance but will fight to get the fourth place spot.  Montana remains in fourth place after winning four points from Jack & Tar.  Barry led Montana with a 217 game, 543 series and Maliny had a 505.  Mai was best for Jack & Tar with a 524 series.  Three Sisters remains in the hunt for the fourth place trophy after winning all four points from Café Ole.  La had a 563 series and Teuvo a 553 for Three Sisters.  Morn rolled a 539 for Café Ole.  VFW Post 9876 slit their match against Diamond Shop with each team getting two points.  Dang bowled a 519 series for Diamond Shop.  Tiger bowling as a Pacer rolled a 230 game and 562 series.

The present league will end next week with the first and second place teams squaring off, the third and fourth place team fighting it out and so on down the standings.

Any PSC members out there who want to bowl in the upcoming league come down to Pattaya + Bowl across from Big C on Second Road at 13:30 on Friday and put your name in the hat to join a team.

Montana moves up to fourth place

Montana won three points from Café Kronborg and moved into fourth place as Barry bowled a 206 game, 518 series and Maliny added a 508 for Montana.  First place team Mai’s Thai Restaurant lost three points to second place Brother D.  Wade was bowling short handed as two of his bowlers could not bowl but he bowled a 511 series and managed to get one point.  Konrad bowled a 553 series for Brother D and they closed to with in one and a half point of first place with 2 weeks to go in this league.  Bowling as Pacers, Tue bowled a 528 series and Tiger a 521.  Mai bowled a 511 series and Somrak had a 522 to lead Jack & Tar to a three point win over Beaver Bar & Grill.  Bill Key had a 519 series for Beaver and Antero, bowling as a Pacer had a 511.  VFW Post 9876 and Café Ole split their match with each team getting two points.  Suphan led VFW with a 210 game and 544 series.  Lada and Lance both had 511 series for Café Ole.  La rolled a 556 and Teuvo a 535 series to lead Three Sisters to a three point win over Diamond Shop.  Mio bowled a 562 series as a Pacer.

Three weeks to go and Mai’s Thai Restaurant maintains their lead

Bill Gibson rolled a 209 game, 557 series and Wade had a 529 to lead first place team Mai’s Thai Restaurant to a 3.5 point victory over Jack & Tar.  Somrak bowled a 219 game and 576 series for Jack & Tar.  Second place Brother D got good bowling from Konrad with a 556 series and Ooy with a 550 but only managed a 2-2 split with Diamond Shop.  Aht bowled a 520 series for Diamond Shop.  Café Kronborg remains in third place but they fell further behind first after only winning one point from Café Ole.  Rich had a 521 series for Café Kronborg and Morn a 514 for Café Ole.  Tiger rolled a 224 game and 530 series bowling as a Pacer.  Barry bowled games of 195, 216 and 195 to lead Montana to a four point sweep over Three Sisters.  Teuvo bowled a 520 series for Three Sisters and Mio, bowling as a Pacer, had a 210 game and 530 series.  Beaver Bar & Grill won three points from VFW Post 9876 on the very tough 5 & 6 lanes.

No change in top four teams as Mai’s Thai Restaurant continues to lead

Mai’s Thai Restaurant was the only team to win three points and they increased their lead to 3 points as they beat Café Ole.  Bill Gibson rolled a 515 series for Mai’s and Lance had a 531 for Café Ole.
Brother D took 2.5 points from Three Sisters with Teuvo bowling a 513 series for Three Sisters.
Café Kronborg and VFW Post 9876 bowled to a 2-2 tie with both teams having a lot of trouble with the lanes.  Mio bowling as a pacer is getting her form back after returning from Norway with a 526 series.  Somrak bowled a 531 series for Jack & Tar and Aht had a 522 for Diamond Shop as they split their series at 2-2.  Bill Key bowled another great series for Beaver Bar & Grill with games of 189, 218 & 212, 619 series and his team split their match with Montana as each team got two points.
Barry had a 567 series and Jon a 526 for Montana.

Brother D gains on first place and are now only 1 ½ point behind

Jack & Tar led by Mai’s 200, 193 and 203 games, 596 series and Somrak got a 216 game, 559 series but they still lost three points to second place Brother D.   Konrad had a 205 game, 577 series for Brother D, Ooy knocked down 525 pins and Ken rolled a 485 scratch, 605 with handicap.  Mai’s Thai Restaurant remains in first but they lost all four points to Three Sisters who are moving up the standings.  La led Three Sisters with 202 & 224 games, 590 series, Teuvo had a 208 game, 569 series and Mio, bowling as a pacer, had a 202 game, 544 series.  Leo was best for Mai’s Thai Restaurant with a 205 game, 533 series.  Diamond Shop took three points from third place Café Kronborg with Dang bowling a 223 game and 546 series.  Kran had a 201 game 544 series for Café Kronborg.  Café Ole beat Beaver Bar and Grill taking three points in that match.  VFW Post 9876 got the best of Montana taking three points with Montana winning only one despite Barry bowling 202 & 203 games and a 576 series.

Mai’s Thai Restaurant still in first

Mai’s Thai Restaurant won three points from Diamond Shop behind great bowling by Wade and Bill Gibson.  Wade had games of 215 & 235, 601 series and Bill had a 210 game, 558 series.  Nual tipped 523 pins for Diamond Shop.  Konrad bowled a 520 series but his Brother D team could only come away with one point from VFW Post 9876 but they are still in second place by one half a point.  Café Kronborg gained on first and second place teams as they won all four points from Beaver Bar & Grill.  Rich, just back in town, bowled games of 188, 184 & 183 for a 555 series and Kran added a 539 to get Café Kronborg the win.  Three Sisters moved up the standings as they won three points from Jack & Tar.  La had a 540 series for Three Sisters and Sven, just back from Sweden, bowled a 534 series.  Morn led Café Ole to a three point win over Montana knocking down 521 pins.  Antero bowling as a pacer bowled a great 245 game and 576 series.

Mai’s Thai Restaurant regains first place

Wade bowled a 566 series and Bill a 556 to lead Mai’s Thai Restaurant to a four point sweep over Beaver Bar and Grill which put them back into first place.  Bill Key rolled a 553 series for Beaver.

Morn led the way for Café Ole with a 245 game and 551 series to give her team a three point win over Brother D.  Konrad bowled a 516 series for Brother D but his team dropped to second place.  Café Kronborg remains in third place as they split their match against Jack and Tar with each team getting two points.  Somrak bowled a 214 game, 540 series and Mai knocked down 514 pins for Jack & Tar.  Kran had a 206 game and 522 series for Café Kronborg.  Aht bowled a 515 series to lead Diamond Shop to a three point win over Montana and moving them into fifth place.  Barry bowled a 523 series for Montana.  Three Sisters won three points from VFW Post 9876 with La leading the charge with a 215 game and 576 series.  Jim had a 209 game and 541 series for Three Sisters.

Brother D takes over first

Konrad bowled a 554 series to lead his Brother D team into first place after a three point win over Café Kronborg.  Mai’s Thai Restaurant dropped to second place after losing three to Montana. Barry led Montana with a 213 game and 562 series.  Mai knocked down 564 pins and Somrak added 522 to lead Jack & Tar to a four point sweep over VFW Post 9876.  La bowled a 203 game and 581 series to give Three Sisters a three and one half win over Beaver Bar & Grill.  Bill Key had games of 223 and 201 for a 563 series for Beaver.  Diamond Shop won four points from Café Ole with Nual leading the way with a 203 game and 561 series.  Morn knocked down 523 pins for Café Ole but it was not enough to get a point.

Mai’s Thai Restaurant moves into first

Good bowling by all three bowlers for the Mai’s Thai Restaurant team gave them a four point sweep over Three Sisters and they jumped into first place.  Bill Gibson bowled games of 213, 163, 214, 590 series, Wade had a 544 series and Leo a 500 for Mai’s Thai Restaurant.  Brother D remains in second place as they split their match with Jack & Tar with each team getting two points.  In the battle of the first place team and last place team saw Diamond Shop take three points from Café Kronborg and knock them out of first place.  Nual bowled a 531 series and Dang added a 524 for Diamond Shop.  Kran rolled a 215 game and 551 series for Café Kronborg.  Bill Key led Beaver Bar & Grill to a three point win over Café Ole with a 585 series and Beaver moved up to fourth.  Rich Montana had a 577 series for Café Ole.  Barry had a 545 series and Maliny got a 214 game and 538 series to lead Montana to a three point win over VFW Post 9876.

Bill Key bowls 255 game and 632 series to lead Beaver Bar & Grill to victory

Beaver Bar and Grill took three points from first place Café Kronborg behind Bill Key’s 632 series with games of 194, 183 and 255.  Kran bowled a 572 series for Café Kronborg.  Barry bowled a 211 game and 557 series to lead Montana to a 3.5 point win over Café Ole and Lada rolled a 520 series for Café Ole.  VFW Post 9876 got 3.5 points from Brother D with Tui leading her team to victory with a 521 series.  Mai bowled a 550 series to give Jack & Tar a three point win over Three Sisters.  Mai’s Thai Restaurant took all four points from Diamond Shop

Lots of movement in the standings in week 9

First place team Brother D won all four points from Diamond Shop and Café Kronborg moved into second place after winning four from Café Ole.  Ooy bowled a 532 series and Konrad a 515 for Brother D and Dang knocked down 524 pins for Diamond Shop.  Kran led Café Kronborg with games of 210, 213, 577 series. VFW Post 9876 moved up to fourth place after beating Beaver Bar & Grill knocking them down from second to third place.  Three Sisters won all four points from Montana.  All the Three Sisters Bowlers bowled good with La leading the way with a 208 game, 573 series, Teuvo rolled a 538 series and Lek had a 503.  Jack & Tar, led by Somrak’s 604 series, games of 183, 233, 188 and Mai’s 538 series, won all four points from Mai’s Thai Restaurant.

Café Ole and Café Kronborg move up the standings

Three Sisters, led by Teuvo’s 214 game and 554 series, took three points from first place team Brother D.  Ooy rolled a 519 series for Brother D.  Montana won three points from second place Beaver Bar & Grill and Montana moved from sixth to fifth place.  Café Ole moved up from fourth to third place after taking three points from Mai’s Thai Restaurant.  Café Ole got good bowling from all of their team with Morn bowling a 522 series, Lada had a 527 and Christian a 518 pin count.  Café Kronborg moved up to fourth place after winning all four points from VFW Post 9876.  Mai knocked down 519 pins to lead Jack & Tar to a three point win over Diamond Shop.  Dang had a 521 series for Diamond Shop.

Brother D standing tough with a Beaver biting on their tail

Brother D remains in first place but they did not put any space between themselves and Beaver Bar & Grill as each team won three points in week seven.  Ooy bowled a 548 series and Konrad a 509 for Brother D as they took three from Jack & Tar who were led by Mai’s 535 series.  Beaver Bar & Grill got a 219 game, 566 series from Bill Key as they took three from Café Ole.  Morn bowled a 504 series and Lada had a 206 game, 502 series for Café Ole.  VFW Post 9876 lost three points to Montana but remain in third place.  Diamond Shop got three points from Café Kronborg with Aht leading the way with games of 187, 180, 184, 551 series and Nual added a 510 pin count.  Kran was best for Café Kronborg with a 517 series.  Leo had a 517 series to lead Mai’s Thai Restaurant to a three point win over Three Sisters.

Beaver Bar & Grill closing in on first place

Bill Key rolled games of 203 & 201, 557 series and Tukata bowled a 521 to lead Beaver Bar & Grill to a four point win over Café Kronborg.  Beaver jumped from fifth to second place and Café Kronborg went from third to fifth.  Brother D lost three points to VFW Post 9876 but is still in first place.  Ooy bowled a 526 series for Brother D.  Jack & Tar and Three Sisters split their match with each team getting two points.  Somrak bowled a 225 game, 522 series, for Jack & Tar and Teuvo had a 518 series for Three Sisters.  Barry had a 203 game, 517 series, to lead Montana to a three point win over Café Ole.  Jim bowled a 203 game, 526 series playing as a pacer.  Wade bowled a 541 series to lead Mai’s Thai Restaurant to a three point win over Diamond Shop.  Aht had a 207 game, 537 series, for Diamond Shop.  Ken Crow returned to bowling after a long absence only to find that the bottle of wine he had left in his locker had turned to vinegar.

Brother D takes the lead

Brother D, led by Ooy’s 558 series, won all four points from last week’s leader Café Ole and is now in first place.  Café Ole is tied for second with Café Kronborg who took three points from Jack & Tar.  Kran bowled a 555 series for Café Kronborg.  VFW Post 9876 moved up to fourth place after they split their match with Three Sisters with each team getting two points.  Mai’s Thai Restaurant won three points from Beaver knocking Beaver Bar & Grill down to fifth place.  Leo rolled a 215 game, 530 series for Mai”s and Bill Key had a 524 series for Beaver.  Barry bowled a 201 game, 577 series, to lead Montana to a two-two split with Diamond Shop.  Aht rolled a 521 series for Diamond Shop and Dang had a 506.

Café Ole bowls into first place all alone

Café Ole is off to a good start in week four of the new league after winning all four points from Diamond Shop and they are now all alone in first place.  P.K. rolled a 545 series and Morn had a 516 series for Café Ole.  Aht led Diamond shop with a 533 series and Nual bowled a 202 game, 506 series.  Brother D led by Ooy’s 514 series took three points from Café Kronborg who had their best series rolled by Kran, 521 pins knocked down.  Café Kronborg is tied for third with Beaver Bar & Grill.  Beaver split their series with Three Sisters with each team getting two points.  Teuvo bowled a 516 series for Three Sisters.  Mai bowled a 202 game, 525 series and Somrak had a 523 to lead Jack & Tar to a two and one half point win over VFW Post 9876.  Mai’s Thai Restaurant got out of last place after winning all four points from Montana.  Barry bowled a 535 series for Montana but it was not enough to overcome the high handicap carried by Mai’s Thai Restaurant.

Café Ole and Café Kronborg tied for first

Café Ole took three points from Jack & Tar and Café Kronborg got three from Three Sisters and both teams are now tied for first place.  Beaver won four points from Diamond Shop, VFW Post 9876 took four from Mai’s Thai Restaurant and both teams are tied for third place.  Montana beat last weeks number one team Brother D taking all four points and Brother D dropped to a tie for third.  Scores were not very good this week due to the poor oil conditions of the lanes.  Jim Montgomery bowling as a sub for Montana had a 210 game and 549 series, Tui, VFW had a 521 series and Aht, Diamond Shop knocked down 516 pins.

Brother D is early leader in new 30 week league

Brother D has got off to a good start as they won all four points for the second week in a row.  This week they were led by Ooy who bowled a 204 game, 570 series and Konrad, 223 game, 516 series, to beat team Beaver.  Café Ole won three points from Three Sisters and is tied for second place with Café Kronborg who got three points from Mai’s Thai Restaurant.  VFW Post 9876 won three from Diamond Shop and Jack & Tar led by Mai’s 205 game, 541 series, took three from Montana.

New 30 week league gets a hot start with some good bowling

Beaver (a new team) and Brother D both got off to good starts as they both won four points.  Beaver beat Jack & Tar and Brother D beat Mai’s Thai Restaurant.  Bill Key led Beaver with a 545 series and Mai was best for Jack & Tar with a 573. Konrad bowled a 519 series and Ooy a 518 for Brother D.   P.K. and Morn both rolled a 553 series to lead Café Ole to a three point win over VFW Post 9876.  Tui led VFW with a 213 and 200 games, 574 series and Pao bowled a great 245 game (274 with handicap).  Diamond Shop took three points from Three Sisters as Nual, Diamond Shop, rolled a 513 series and Teuvo had a 523 series for Three Sisters.  Café Kronborg won three points from Montana with Mio bowling a 222 game and 579 series as a pacer.

Montana clinches first place trophy

Montana clinched the first place trophy with one week to go after they took all four points in their match against last place Domicil.  VFW Post 9876 won all four points from House of the Golden Coin and remain in second place.  Diamond Shop also won four points in their match against Café Kronborg.  Diamond Shop moved up to third place and Café Kronborg dropped down to a tie for sixth.  Jack & Tar moved up to fifth place after they took three points from Shenanigans.  Café Ole won all four points from Mai’s Thai Restaurant and Brother D took three points from Three Sisters.  Leo led all bowlers with a 598 series, games of 230, 168 & 200, Mai – 583 series, Rich – 564, La – 532, Leen 527, Dang 523 and Konrad – 523.
